COMPUQUIP TECHNOLOGIES NAMES BRAD REED DIRECTOR OF INTERNET SECURITY, EXPANDS COMPANY'S SALES OF NETWORK SECURITY SOLUTIONS

MIAMI, Sept. 19, 2002 - Compuquip Technologies Inc. today announced it has named Brad Reed director of Internet security, a newly formed division that will focus on helping enterprises, including businesses and government agencies, manage a range of network security issues.

Under Reed's leadership, Compuquip's Internet Security Division will offer sophisticated security services and products that cover seven core technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion-detection systems, anti-virus software, e-mail systems, Web filtering, and content management and reporting systems.

"With Brad joining our team, we will have the firepower to sell and service integrated security solutions to enterprises located across the nation," said Alberto Dosal, president and CEO of Compuquip Technologies. "His knowledge of the security market will provide our customers with the expertise required to succeed in today's digital economy."
Prior to joining Compuquip, Reed was business development manager for Sysinct, where he received the company's Circle of Excellence Award and won Check Point Software's Reseller of the Year Award. Before this, he was vice president of sales with RISC Management. Reed earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Northeastern University in Boston.
