Bayshore Technologies Starts Citrix Users Group

Bayshore Technologies Inc., a Tampa-owned system integrator which designs and installs computer networking infrastructures, hardware, software and provides Help Desk services, started the Bayshore Citrix Users Group. The group’s inaugural meeting was held on Tuesday, September 17th. Mark Segars, Director of Bayshore Consulting Group, Erik Zigmunt and Bill Moore, both Senior Systems Engineers for Bayshore Technologies gave presentations on Citrix technologies. Guest speaker Dave Polan, Field Marketing Manager for Citrix, discussed Citrix Systems Secure Gateway.

The Bayshore Citrix Users Group is designed to bring together Citrix end-users to share their collective knowledge and experiences and discuss issues with Citrix, as well as gain access to the latest information on Citrix and related technologies. Attendees came from the Tampa Bay area and some traveled from Lake Alfred in Orlando, Naples and Gainesville. Represented companies included Home Shopping Network, Shands Health Care, Carbiz.com and Butler Burnette & Pappas. Attendee Tom Anthony, Systems Engineer from Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union, stated, “The group-led meetings are off to a good start and will be extremely helpful. I am looking forward to future gatherings.”

The meetings were originally slated to be held bimonthly but due to the tremendous success, the attendees opted to hold the meetings on a monthly basis. The informative, educational meetings, presentations and seminars will focus on Citrix Systems products. Additionally they will periodically feature manufacturers whose products or services enhance Citrix products.
