Three New Firms Join Technology Business Incubator at FAU

EDC Welcomes Document Imaging, Encryption, and Applications Development Businesses to R&D Park
Boca Raton, FL – September 26, 2002 – The Enterprise Development Corporation (EDC), a public/private partnership specializing in providing strategic business development services to emerging science and technology companies, today announced that DGAccess, Interfuse Technology Corporation, and Leading Edge, Inc. have leased office space in the Technology Business Incubator (TBI) located at Florida Atlantic University’s Boca Raton campus. Under EDC’s management, the mission of the Technology Business Incubator is to facilitate the growth of viable young technology companies, helping them to survive during the early stages when they are most vulnerable.
“It’s a difficult time for emerging technology firms, and they need access to expert business advice as well as great office space in order to survive,” said Scott Ellington, Executive Director, Florida Atlantic Research & Development Authority. “The combination of support services offered through EDC, flexible leasing terms, and access to University resources provides these companies with a solid foundation for success, and we look forward to watching their progress in the coming months.”

DGAccess is a document imaging systems company founded in Brazil that has established US headquarters in Boca Raton to launch North American operations. The company provides document digitalization support through its Document Imaging Service Bureau, and electronic document workflow solutions through its Enterprise Content Management System. DGAccess’ extensive customer base includes major government agencies, oil and gas companies, and members of the arts and media industries throughout South America.
