State Technology Office to Build and Implement Enterprise Technology Services Desk Solution

STATE TECHNOLOGY OFFICE CAPITALIZES ON STI EXPERTISE TO BUILD AND IMPLEMENT ENTERPRISE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES DESK SOLUTION FOR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
Tallahassee, Florida – The State Technology Office of Florida and enterprise support leader, STI Knowledge, announced today that they have entered into a partnership to build an Enterprise Technology Services Desk that will serve all Florida state government agencies. The program will increase service and support for citizens and employees and reduce operational costs and improve operational efficiencies.
“The State Technology Office (STO) has set an aggressive agenda to systematically address many of the Governor’s business initiatives and apply an enterprise perspective to providing statewide IT services,” said Kimberly Bahrami, Chief Information Officer for the State of Florida. As part of this strategy, the STO is implementing a series of high impact strategic technology projects like the Enterprise Technology Services Desk to create an environment for sharing statewide IT resources and aggregating the state’s information assets.
The Enterprise Technology Services Desk will provide a solid platform upon which to build the Enterprise Initiatives’ family of services. The platform will provide fully web-enabled integrated help desk support, asset management, change control, configuration management, capacity management, monitoring and alerts, intelligent routing of calls, integrated reporting, integrated knowledge base, integrated password synchronization, workflow audit trails, automated business rules, and many other features that will enhance customer service.
As part of the agreement, STI Knowledge will utilize its industry recognized best practices and Knowledge Center Platform to allow the sharing of data across agencies and maximize customer productivity to achieve the goals of Florida government. Additionally, STI will provide education services and certify all Technology Services Desk professionals during the term of the agreement.
