Maimonides Medical Center Attributes Prestigious Award Win to SANsymphony Software

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Dec. 3, 2002) - DataCore Software, a leading provider of enterprise-class, open storage networking software, today recognized and announced that Maimonides Medical Center is one of 10 winners of the Storage Networking World 'Best Practices in Storage' award. Like the Storage Networking World conference where this award program was a feature attraction, this initiative is produced by IDG's Computerworld and the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA). Maimonides credits its achievement to DataCore's SANsymphony robust storage networking and high-availability capabilities.

Maimonides, one of the country's largest teaching hospitals, was singled out from hundreds of nominations for achieving industry-best storage reliability. The Brooklyn-based hospital made a critical business decision to migrate paper-based medical records to electronic images, which necessitated 24x7 data access for all of its physicians and medical staff. DataCore's SANsymphony storage networking platform is the heart of this campus-wide SAN installation.
