Outback Bowl Entrusts High-Traffic Website to Peak 10

Peak 10’s Managed Hosting Provides Fans 24-hour Access to Bowl Information

TAMPA, Fla. (December 20, 2002) - Peak 10 Inc. (www.peak10.com), the Southeast’s leading Data Center Services Provider, has been selected by the Outback Bowl to host and manage the Bowl’s official web site, www.outbackbowl.com. This high-traffic site provides hundreds of thousands of fans with instant access to game stats, game details, and team profiles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

“We hired Peak 10 to host the Outback Bowl because we did not have the technical expertise or the infrastructure to handle it ourselves,” said Jim McVay, President of the Outback Bowl. “By leveraging Peak’s state-of-the-art infrastructure and technology, we were able to guarantee that our web site would be available 100 percent of the time for our fans.”

The Outback Bowl web site is hosted at Peak 10’s Tampa Data Center located at 9417 Corporate Lake Drive. This enterprise-class facility offers a minimum of 5 levels of security, uninterruptible power, redundant HVAC systems, as well as 24x7 monitoring and management. “Peak 10’s reliability and security are unmatched in the market,” McVay added. “It certainly makes my job easier to have a trusted technical resource like Peak 10.”

A recent survey of 450 IT Executives, conducted by CIO magazine, Getronics and IDG research, reiterates McVay’s reasons for outsourcing. In the 2002 survey, CIOs cited the desire to focus on core competencies and the need for special expertise as two of the top three reasons driving their company’s IT outsourcing decisions.

Peak 10 offers a full range of hosting, storage, security and disaster recovery solutions to companies throughout the Southeast. The company owns and operates four enterprise-class Data Centers in Charlotte, Jacksonville, Raleigh and Tampa, with plans to expand into a fifth Southeastern market in early 2003. Customers including Wachovia, Allstate, Jefferson Pilot and Hawaiian Tropic rely on Peak 10 to keep business critical applications up and running around-the-clock.
