Board of Enterprise Development Corporation Elects New Executive Committee

Boca Raton, FL--- December 10, 2002 - The Enterprise Development Corporation (EDC), a public/private partnership specializing in providing strategic business development services to emerging science and technology companies, announced today the board’s election of its new Executive Committee. Committee members include individuals from some of South Florida’s top companies and institutions that support the entrepreneurial community, and all members have been actively involved with guiding EDC’s mission and accomplishments.
Elected to serve as Chairman is Greg Nelson of Akerman, Senterfitt & Eidson, P.A. The other officers are Vice Chair, Edward Rowan of McGladrey & Pullen and Treasurer, David Bates of Gunster , Yoakley and Stewart, P.A. Mark Margulies, partner with Grant Thornton, is the Immediate Past Chair. “We are looking forward to expanding on the great successes of last year as we continue to provide valuable services and resources to South Florida’s entrepreneurs,” said Greg Nelson, a shareholder in the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Akerman Senterfitt and EDC’s newly elected Chairman. “The entrepreneurial spirit is one of the greatest assets of our region. With the EDC as an active partner, we can nurture and encourage the science and technology hub growing in South Florida.”
