ASNAS Pro Moves to the Next Level

BTC announced today they have added new service fail-over software to their popular Advanced Security Network Access Systems (ASNAS), BTC's premier advanced firewall/VPN security gateway appliances. BTC Network Systems has started releasing the ASNAS Pro series Firewall/VPN servers with this new service fail-over software upgrade, this new feature is also available to all owners of ASNAS Pro series at no cost via the automated web update service available on all ASNAS products. ASNAS service fail-over service provides the ability to set up redundant network services such as DNS, HTTP, and SMTP which ASNAS will NAT through the gateway. ASNAS will monitor the primary service checking not only that the system is available, but also that the services running on that system are functioning correctly. Many times a service on a system may fail leaving the systems network functions intact, but if the service is not up you’re offline. A few network gateway servers detect systems via ICMP (ping) but do not have the ability to verify that the service provided by that system is functioning. If ASNAS detects a service failure it will automatically switch over to the backup systems you designated keeping the service available. ASNAS has increased the monitoring support built in to each system with the new firewall log statistics reporter and system manager. The new monitoring service provides detailed information on activity of the ASNAS system and delivers that information in multiple formats based on user settings.
