When Casselberry Chamber of Commerce wanted to install a state of the art communications system to better serve its members, it turned to Orlando-based Bytes, Bits & Megabytes, to provide the solution.
“Our business as a Chamber is to enable members to communicate between themselves. The problem is that all Chamber officials are volunteers, many running their own businesses, so they are not usually contactable at the Chamber’s office, said Roberta Weis, President of Casselberry Chamber of Commerce, and a Colonial Bank Branch Manager.
“We needed a communications system that allowed members and the public to quickly get through to the right person to get the information they needed and that is why we turned to Bytes, Bits & Megabytes” she said.
The solution is BBM’s OfficeByte, an advanced software based communications system that answers all incoming calls, identifies who the caller wants to speak to and then forwards it to wherever that person might be. If the line is busy, the caller can leave a voice mail that is immediately forwarded as an email.
“The OfficeByte system has been an integral part of our Chamber’s success. It has allowed our Chair personnel, staff and membership to communicate pretty much anytime, anywhere as we are no longer tied to a specific location or desk,” said Weis.
Highly reliable communications is the key to any company’s success in today’s highly competitive commercial world, especially for small and home-based businesses like many of the Chamber’s members, said Paul Daigle, President of BBM, one of Central Florida’s leading suppliers of communications technologies.

OfficeByte is so sophisticated that Daigle is convinced that it can increase any company’s productivity, efficiency and profits.
“If you are out of the office and can’t take a call, you may lose a big order. If a customer has a problem and can’t reach you, you’ll likely lose that customer”, said Daigle.
OfficeByte provides an affordable, reliable automated and computerized phone system that can be customized specifically to support the way each company does business. It combines the power of the phone, computer and Internet to deliver superior features at a lower cost than proprietary phone systems, said Daigle.
It allows clients to leverage the most advanced communications technology available to improve customer service, strengthen efficiency, increase sales and convey a more professional image.
“Your phones are answered promptly and professionally and tailoring the system to the client’s special needs improves customer responsiveness and means telephone tag is a thing of the past because of “follow me” call forwarding,” said Daigle.
“Clients quickly find that the system contains numerous features that translate to better service, including the ability to prioritize calls, conference clients, integrate with contact databases and support a mobile workforce,” he said.
“For small and home-based businesses there are huge advantages including boosting productivity and efficiency and increasing profits – and that is something all businesses are interested in,” Daigle said.
