(OTC BB: NEOM), today introduced a major breakthrough in mobile marketing when it began registering “Keywords” for use with its PaperClick® Mobile Go-Window™ and its PaperClick Mobile Marketing Solution™ (www.PaperClick.com).

A pioneer and innovator in wireless services and patented technologies that provide automatic links to Internet-based information for more than a decade, NeoMedia will demonstrate Keywords as part of its patented PaperClick Mobile Marketing Solution at CTIA Wireless IT & Entertainment 2005 at Moscone Center in San Francisco, tomorrow through Thursday in booth 1003.

Mobile Keywords, such as brand names and slogans, can be registered and licensed via the PaperClick Keyword Registry™ for entry in a PaperClick Mobile Go-Window, a Google®-like text window on cell phones or PDA’s, to create a one-click connection to a Web page (URL). Words, phrases and brand names already trademarked can be registered only by their owners, with other words and phrases available from NeoMedia.

Keywords and Mobile Go-Window a ‘Breakthrough’

“The introduction and immediate availability of Keywords and the PaperClick Mobile Go-Window represents a genuine breakthrough in marketing by cell phone,” said Martin Copus, head of NeoMedia’s Wireless Business Unit and the company’s COO.

No ‘Cyber-Squatting’ for Keywords

“NeoMedia will only license Keywords of trademarks to their legitimate owners, eliminating the cyber-squatting and time-consuming and costly litigation that marked the early days of domain registrations,” Mr. Copus said, noting that Keywords cannot be resold., and can include phrases, numbers, spaces, etc.

“The most common rejection in requesting a Keyword is that it is legally trademarked by someone else,” he said. “NeoMedia recommends that interested parties request their own trademarks, product names, company name, common words used in their industry, or words related to their company, school, organization, and so on.

Pricing of Keywords is determined by NeoMedia, “with shorter and more widely known Keywords generally considered to be more valuable to marketer and consumer and thus having a higher price,” he said.

Registering and Activating Keywords

To check the availability of a word or phrase for registration, brand managers and others should go to www.PaperClick.com/registry and click "Search Keywords,” entering a word or phrase to determine if it's available. First time users should register, and thereafter log-in.

If a requested word is available, NeoMedia will process the application, thoroughly researching requested Keywords to see if they have been otherwise trademarked, and provide a market price for registration and activation. Once a signed user agreement and payment are received, Keyword are activated and ready for use.
