PUERTO RICO SELECTS DATAMAXX TO PROVIDE

Tallahassee, FL – (October 3, 2005) – Datamaxx Group, Inc. announced today it has entered into a $2.5 Million contract to provide the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Department of Justice with the nation’s first fully XML-based Message Switch System (MSS).

The multi-year contract is part of an overall effort by the Puerto Rico Department of Justice (PRDOJ) to provide an integrated criminal justice information system (Sistem Integrado de Informacion de Justicia Criminal, SIIJC) necessary to access and share vital data in an effort to combat crime.

Datamaxx will deliver an XML-based message switch solution consisting of leading HP and Cisco hardware and software components. The existing PRDOJ network, including the central administration site and all remote workstations, will be replaced with the Datamaxx Omnixx Suite of Products, including Omnixx Message Switch, Omnixx Desktop Browser, Omnixx Trainer and Omnixx Force Wireless Solutions.

“Omnixx will provide innovative tools for Puerto Rico’s law enforcement officers in the field,” said Kay Stephenson, President and CEO of Datamaxx. “For the first time, officers will have the ability to share mission critical justice information. Within a matter of seconds they can verify if a citizen has a previous criminal record in or outside of Puerto Rico. Not only will they be able to view information, images and fingerprints from the SIIJC electronic archive system, they will also share criminal record information with other states through the FBI NCIC-2000 system, NCIC Sex Offender Registry, NLETS, Department of Motor Vehicles, and other vital data sources. Today, sharing this type of information is critical to the criminal justice community and the public it serves.”
