Compuquip CEO to Chair Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Technology Committee for Second Term

MIAMI, June 4, 2009 – Compuquip Technologies Inc., one of the largest IT providers in South Florida, today announced its president and CEO, Alberto Dosal, had been reappointed chairman of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Committee. Dosal will serve another one-year term.
Over the past year, Dosal has introduced new programs to the Chamber that showcase South Florida’s technology industry while helping to grow and enhance existing programs, such as the annual Technology Leaders of the Year Awards.
“Al’s reappointment signifies an outstanding first year as chairman of the Technology Committee,” said Barry Johnson, president and CEO of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. “He is a terrific leader who brings new energy and great vision to the Chamber as well as a unique focus on educating our members about the various opportunities and benefits technology can bring to their businesses."
A Miami native, Dosal founded Compuquip Technologies in 1980 to provide leasing and equipment services to South Florida financial Institutions. Today, the family-owned business is one of the region’s largest IT solutions providers, offering Internet security, staff augmentation services, cabling and managed IT services to area companies.
Active in the local community, Dosal is a trustee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) and chairman of its Technology Committee. In addition, he is a member of the board of directors of the Beacon Council and a lifetime member of the FAU Inner Circle and Alumni Association.
Dosal holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Fla.
